Balancing ministry and family can be a tricky thing.
The call of the Pastor is to ministry. The call of the husband is to minister to his bride as the Christ does to the church.
When God calls us to do things, how do we prioritize? The answer lies in the fact that God will not call us to do something that would not bless our brides. Christ will NEVER do something that will not be a blessing to His bride the church.
Likewise we as servants of the King are never to do things that will be an anti-blessing to our brides.
Sometimes the call of God to do something can be so very strong that we have to simply, stop and pray and ask for God's timing and perfection in His work.
We love the call of God and want to respond.. but we must never respond to the call of God at the expense of our family.

I'm up at Bayshore studying up on the Feast of Tabernacles, particularly John 7:37-38, and the implications King Jesus' statement had on the culture in that time when he said what he said.
I'm praying for you brother, and I know that God will see through his will for you to its finish, just as the Scriptures say.
