Today was my Coast Guard meeting day two in Austin, TX. I met all of the Chief's in charge of their respective areas. To my surprise and blessing, it turns out that one of the Chiefs is also a Christian and studying for the ministry as he has felt a call from God upon his life.
I'm excited for him and for the calling that God has in his life.
I also had an opportunity to tour the Capitol building of the State of Texas. Interestingly enough on the Senate floor over the Speaker's chair the words "In God we trust" are engraved into the marble.
I wondered to myself how long it will be before those words are removed or replaced.
Pray for our nation today.
