It seems as though the attacks come early and strong.
Even though there are various locations where we could potentially hold our fellowship, it seems that there is never any room at the Inn.
There is a location on Coors and Rio Bravo (major crossroads in our area) which would be perfect. The location is for lease. We know that it would be awhile before we could actually lease it, but we were hoping that it would be a viable option. No sir. We called and "they won't lease to churches".
There is another even better location at a middle school in the heart of our area, we contacted them and they said that they will not allow people to come in on the weekends. Their reasoning? They don't give keys out to anyone, they don't have anyone to come and open it or lock it back up, or clean it for that matter. The cleaning part wouldn't be a problem, we would be good stewards with the space. But if we can't get them to come open it or lock it and they aren't willing to give keys out, then it makes it so that once again there is no room at the Inn.
The Master was born in a manger for there was no room in the Inn. We must stay prayerful and hopeful, and understand that if God wants this to happen, He will provide. Discouragement is a tool of the enemy, testing is a tool of God.
Let us not be discouraged, let us pass the test.
Let us pray for a manger.
